1951 - Born: Newton, New Jersey

EDUCATION

1974 - BFA, Syracuse University

1980 - Meet critic Clement Greenberg and begin showing paintings to him on a
regular basis in studio and at Mr. Greenberg’s homes-9 in Upstate NY and NYC,
up until his death in 1994.

1986 - Attends Triangle International Artists Workshop, Pine Plains, NY.
Founder; Anthony Caro, Guest Painter: Larry Poons, Guest Critic: Michael Fried
During a studio visit/critique, Clement Greenberg calls Bennett’s landscape
paintings “visionary”.
